VIDEO: Ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, Sikh activists sanitize Jama Masjid

NEW DELHI, India—Ahead of Eid-Ul-Fitr, scores of Sikh youths today sanitized the Jama Masjid in New Delhi so that the Muslims can offer prayers on this day without any objection by the administration amid coronavirus pandemic.

DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa has termed this move as a heartwarming gesture and a beautiful example of religious harmony.

Eid-ul-Fitr, also called the ‘Festival of Breaking the Fast’, is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan. This religious Eid is the only day in the month of Shawwal during which Muslims are not permitted to fast.
