RAWALPINDI, Pakistan—Today, the Sikhs residing in Peshawar celebrated the 356th Parkash Purab of tenth Sikh master Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji by organizing a religious program at Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh. In this religious program, several Raagi Jathas addressed religious discourse following recitation of Gurbani Path.Â

It is pertinent to note here that the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee had celebrated Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Parkash Purab on January 5 while complying with the basic Nanakshahi calendar but the Peshawari Sikhs have opted to celebrate Guru Sahib’s Parkash Purab as per the amended Nanakshahi calendar.Â
