SAD (Democratic) directs party workers to support farmers’ struggle against anti-farm laws

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—In a meeting held in assembly segment Raikot on October 14, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Democratic) leader Parminder Singh Dhindsa directed the party workers to support the farmers’ agitation against the newly imposed draconian laws pertaining to the procurement of agro products.

Addressing the party workers’ meet, Parminder Singh Dhindsa said that the youth had started keeping a distance from the core Sikh politics due to Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) but now the youth has started returning towards the core Sikh politics with the constitution of Shiromani Akali Dal (Democratic).

Taking on Badals for dubbing their opponents as anti-Panthak, Dhindsa said that the Badals have made Shiromani Akali Dal, a party of flatterers.

It is pertinent to note here that the Shiromani Akali Dal (Democratic) is on the way to emerge as a competent of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). The current situation in Punjab is propelling Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) towards marginalization while the Shiromani Akali Dal (Democratic) is gaining mass support.
