Prominent Khalra Mission Organization Activist Bhai Manjit Singh Passes Away in Punjab

TARN TARAN SAHIB, Punjab—Bhai Manjit Singh (Naushehra Pannuan), a human rights activist of the Khalra Mission Organization, has passed away. Manjit Singh was residing in Canada, however, he was in Punjab since March and passed away here following a brief illness. He left behind his wife and two children.

Manjit Singh played a prominent role in the 16 year-long trial of Shaheed S. Jaswant Singh Khalra’s assassination case. At one point, Manjit Singh was illegally abducted by the police, and later after his release, he played a really important role as an activist of the Khalsa Mission Organization.

Sikh24 learned that Manjit Singh was not provided a timely medical intervention and care due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

In a press note, Advocate Jagdeep Singh Randhawa said, “The untimely passing away of Manjit Singh has caused a lot of distress to the entire Khalsa Mission Organization. Manjit Singh’s antim-ardas will be performed on August 3 in Amritsar.”
