Hate monger Sudhir Kumar Suri found coronavirus positive in Ropar jail

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Amritsar based hate monger Sudhir Kumar Suri, who heads a self-styled radical Hindu organization Shiv Sena (Taksali), has been reported coronavirus positive in Ropar. Notably, Sudhir Kumar Suri is facing judicial remand in a case registered against him for using derogatory remarks against the women family members of NRI Sikhs.

Ropar’s Civil Surgeon Dr. H.N Sharma has confirmed the positive coronavirus report of Sudhir Kumar Suri.

On July 8, an FIR No. 208 was registered in the Jandiala police station under sections 153-A, 354-A, 509 of IPC, and 67 IT Act against Sudhir Kumar Suri for using derogatory remarks against women family members of NRIs.

On July 12, the Punjab police had arrested him from Indore in a joint search operation with the Indore police. On July 13, the Court of Magistrate Nirmala Devi had sent him to jail for two weeks. 

On July 17, the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Nirmala Devi had rejected his bail plea.
