Kaar Sewa for washing gold begins at Sri Harmandir Sahib

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The Kaar Sewa for washing gold began today at the central Sikh shrine Sri Harmandir Sahib by Guru Nanak Nishkam Sevak Jatha (U.K.) as per the directions of SGPC president  Gobind Singh Longowal.

England based members of the Guru Nanak Nishkam Sevak Jatha started this Kaar Sewa with their hands to maintain the shine of gold on installed on sanctum sanctorum.

It is noteworthy here that pollution affect the shining of gold due to which the washing of gold is done from time to time by SGPC so that the golden look of Sri Harmandir Sahib could be preserved.

The SGPC has given the Kaar Sewa to the members of the Guru Nanak Nishkam Sevak Jatha (U.K.) for gold washing.
