Shiv Sena leader arrested for faking attack to get Security Guards

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Ludhiana police have arrested Shiv Sena (Hindustan) labor wing leader Narinder Bhardwaj for faking an attack on him with an intention to get security guards free of cost. Notably, Narinder Bhardwaj had lodged a complaint on March 7 that he was attacked by two bike-borne men near Kohar area on March 6.

He had lied to the police that the bike-borne men stopped in front of his car and attacked him with an iron rod while slamming his car’s windscreen.

Sharing the development with media, Ludhiana Police Commissioner informed that Bhardwaj could not prove his location at the spot. “When we questioned him intensely, he spilled the beans and confessed that he had faked the attack on himself to get police security cover,” he added.
