CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Senior Journalist Dalbir Singh Patarkar has passed away this evening. He renowned among Sikh community for his book titled ‘ਨੇੜਿਓਂ ਡਿਠੇ ਸੰਤ ਭਿੰਡਰਾਂਵਾਲੇ’ in which he had penned his experiences about the great Sikh of 20th century Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale.
It is learnt that his mortal remains will be consigned to flames at his native village Ganna (Phillaur) on February 17 at 11:30 am.
“Dalbir Singh got attached to Sant Bhindranwale after the massacre of 13 Sikhs in 1978 and remained struggling for human rights till his last breathe,” reads an informational note by Khalra Mission Organization.
