Finally, Parkash Singh Badal terms CAA anti-secularism

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—On February 13, the SAD patron Parkash Badal broke his silence over conversial CAA while expressing concern over BJP led Indian government’s deviation from principal of secularism. He broke his silence on CAA in a rally organized at Rajasansi.

Clarifying SAD’s stand on the controversial CAA, Parkash Badal said that it is responsibility of those ruling in Centre to ensure the implementation of full-fledged secular democratic ethos across country.

He substantiated his point by saying that the foundation stone of Sri Darbar Sahib was laid by a Muslim (Sai Mir Mian Mohammed). Similarly, among the top five ministers appointed by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, three were Hindus, one Muslim and one Sikh.

“Taking the minorities along was the legacy that we inherited from our Gurus and it must be honored,” he said.
