Akal Takht Jathedar condemns attack on Sikh businessman in Bhubaneshwar

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The SGPC appointed acting Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has strongly condemned the brutal attack on Sikh businessman Parvinder Pal Singh in Bhubaneshwar. He has said that the assailants also disrespected the turban of Parvinder Pal Singh besides brutally thrashing him.

Giani Harpreet Singh has sought strict punishment for these goons so that no one could ever dare to attack Sikhs.

It may be recalled here that several Hindu goons had brutally thrashed a Sikh businessman named Parvinder Pal Singh in Laxmisagar area of Bhubaneshwar in Odisha following an argument over parking of vehicles in front of his house.

Three goons namely Deepak Jena, Sankar Rout and Deepak Mohanty were arrested on January 15 but were immediately released on bail as the police didn’t impose section 307 of IPC despite the homicidal nature of this attack.
