Issue of diverting devotees towards Harike to make them eat fish: Harminder Gill seeks apology from Akal Takht

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Congress legislator Harminder Singh Gill has submitted a written letter at Sri Akal Takht Sahib seeking an apology for the highly objectionable wording that he had uttered about the devotees visiting Sri Harmandir Sahib.

It may be recalled here that Harminder Singh Gill had said in a function at Harike that his effort was to divert devotees of Sri Harmandir Sahib towards Harike so that they could eat fish there. His video, in which he could be heard saying this objectionable wording, had gone viral over social media on January 12.

Submitting a letter to the personal assistant of Akal Takht Jathedar, Harminder Singh Gill said that he was ready face punishment to be addressed by the Akal Takht Jathedar for his mistake.
