CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The 315th Shaheedi Jor Mela commemorated to the martyrdom of elder Sahibzaades of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji started in Chamkaur Sahib on December 21. A large influx of Sikh devotees from all around the world was noticed with the beginning of this three day martyrdom festival.
A large number of “langars” have been set up on the roads leading Chamkaur Sahib by the residents of various villages.
It is noteworthy here that the Shaheedi Jor Mela is organized every year in commemoration of the martyrdom of Sahibzada Ajit Singh and Sahibzada Jujhar Singh.
