CHANDIGARH, Punjab—UAE based renowned social worker S.P Singh Oberoi, who heads the Sarbat Da Bhala Trust, has announced to sponsor pilgrimage of 1100 needy people during the next one year to Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib. Besides paying the $20 entry fee at Kartarpur’s immigration center, the Sarbat Da Bhala Trust will also sponsor other conveyance expenses to be incurred from commuting them to Integrated Check Post at Dera Baba Nanak and conveying them back to their home.
Sharing the development with media, a spokesperson of Sarbat Da Bhala Trust informed that they have decided to sponsor pilgrimage of 1100 needy pilgrims in commemoration of the 550th Parkash Purab of Guru Nanak Sahib. “A special application form has been made available in all the district offices of our trust,” he added.
“In the first phase, pilgrimage of 550 Sikh pilgrims will be offered from December 1, 2018 to May 31, 2020 while the next phase will start on June 1, 2020 to November 30, 2020,” he added.
