550th Birthday Celebrations: Modi releases commemorative coin in Thailand

:dateline:In commemoration of the 550th birthday of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today released a coin in Bangkok. Notably, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a three day visit to Thailand to participate in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), East Asia, and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) summits.

Addressing a gathering there, Modi said that the ideology of Sri Guru Nanak Dev is a heritage for the whole humanity. �We need to convey the benefits of his legacy to the entire world,� he added.

Modi further said that he has informed that the 500th birthday of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was enthusiastically celebrated in Thailand. �I am sure that the 550th birthday of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji will also be celebrated with great fervor,� he added.

Narendra Modi also hailed the Thai Sikhs for building a garden in Fitsanulok after the name of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. �
