Imran Khan invites Navjot Sidhu to attend inauguration ceremony of Kartarpur corridor; Sidhu accepts invitation

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Pakistani PM Imran Khan has today invited Punjab Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu to attend the inauguration ceremony of Kartarpur corridor in Pakistan on November 9.

At the behest of Pakistani Imran Khan, the Pakistan’s Tehrek-e-Insaaf’s senator Faisal Javed today talked to Navjot Singh Sidhu over phone and invited him to attend the celebrations of the opening ceremony of Kartarpur corridor in Pakistan on November 9.

It is noteworthy here that the Indian government had not included Navjot Singh Sidhu’s name in the list 575 people, who will be part of the first jatha to Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan through the Kartarpur corridor.

The group will be led by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh while Punjab CM Amarinder Singh, Union ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Harsimrat Kaur Badal, several MPs and MLAs from Punjab will also be part of this group.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Navjot Singh Sidhu has accepted Imran Khan’s invitation and has also thanked him for sending invitation on the historical inaugural ceremony.

Sidhu has said that Sikhs all over the world look forward to visiting a place associated with their prophet, Guru Nanak Sahib, adding that the construction and inauguration of Kartarpur Corridor has sent a positive message to millions of followers of Sikh religion.
