550th Birthday Celebrations: SGPC invites Punjab Governor V.P. Singh Badnore for November 12’s program

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal today gave an invitation to the Punjab Governor V.P. Singh Badnore for attending the main function of the 550th birthday celebrations to be held on November 12 in Sultanpur Lodhi.

It is learnt that the Punjab Governor V.P. Singh Badnore has accepted this invitation and has promised to attend the main celebratory function.

It is noteworthy here that the SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal is inviting prominent political personalities of India to attend the main program to be held at Gurdwara Sri Ber Sahib (Sultanpur Lodhi) on November 12 in commemoration of the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Till date, he has invited the India’s PM Narendra Modi and chief ministers of several other states.

Two parallel stages have been put up at Sultanpur Lodhi. The SGPC has hired Guru Nanak Stadium, 100 meters away from Gurdwara Ber Sahib while the Punjab government has spent Rs 520 million to erect a tent city and a huge pandal to accommodate visitors at the backside of the Gurdwara Sahib for the main events.
