Gurdas Maan cancelled his show which was to be held inside tent copy of Sri Harmandir Sahib

KOLKATA, West Bengal—On October 6, the Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan cancelled his show which was to be held inside the tent copy of Sri Harmandir Sahib which has been erected in the northern park of Bhawanipur in Kolkata. It is learnt that Gurdas Maan had cancelled his show keeping in view the Sikh sentiments.

It is noteworthy here that this tent copy of sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib has been erected for Durga Puja which is totally against the Sikh tenets.

Gurdas Maan’s wife Manjit Maan told the media that Gurdas Maan immediately decided to cancel his show when someone apprised him of the issue. “Gurdas Maan quickly decided to cancel his show and directed his office to book return ticket,” she added.

It is pertinent to note here that several Punjabis living in Kolkata were also standing outside the Kolkata airport to protest against Gurdas Maan on his arrival in Kolkata on October 6 but Gurdas Maan didn’t come out of the Airport.
