SGPC seeks passports from Sikhs aspirant of celebrating Guru Nanak Sahib’s 550th birthday in Nankana Sahib

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has asked the Sikhs to deposit their passports who are aspirant of celebrating the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Pakistan this year. Notably, the Pakistan government is likely to grant visas to thousands of Sikh pilgrims this year.

Sharing the development with media, the SGPC’s chief secretary Dr. Roop Singh informed that the aspirant Sikhs can submit their passports in the pilgrimage department of SGPC by August 10. “An identity proof along with a recommendation letter from the concerned SGPC constituency must also be submitted,” he added.
