274th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh observed in Pakistan

LAHORE, Punjab—The Pakistani Sikhs marked the 274th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh on July 16 at his sepulcher situated in the Naulakha Bazar of Lahore. Due to rain, the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib was laid in the Gurdwara Singh Singhnia following which the Raagi Jathas delighted the Sikh sangat with melodious Kirtan.

Addressing the Sikhs on this occasion, the PSGPC’s former general secretary Gopal Singh Chawla informed that the martyrdom place of Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh was under the possession of land mafia from a long time. He appealed the Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan and West Punjab’s CM Usman Buzdar to take action to get free this historic land of Sikhs.

The Sikh sangat also performed the sewa of changing chola of Nishan Sahib on this occasion.
