SGPC invites Pakistan PM Imran Khan for religious procession to be taken out on July 25

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has invited the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, West Punjab’s Governor Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar and Chief Minister Usman Ahmad Khan, ETPB’s Chairman Dr. Aamer Ahmed and PSGPC president Tara Singh to attend the international religious procession to be taken out from Gurdwara Sri Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib to Gurdwara Sri Ber Sahib Sultanpur Lodhi on July 25.

Beside it, the East Punjab’s CM Captain Amarinder Singh has been also given a formal invitation to receive this religious procession at Attari.

It is learnt that 550 devotees will be part of a jatha that would leave for Nankana Sahib to start the religious procession.

To discuss the preparations of this first-ever international religious procession, a meeting was also conducted by SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal with officials.
