Punjab masses have become intellectually bankrupt, says Karam Singh Bhoian

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Disappointed at the defeat of prominent Panthik candidates in the parliamentary elections, the SAD (Amritsar) leader Karam Singh Bhoian has said that the Punjab masses, especially the majority of Sikh masses residing in Punjab, have become intellectually bankrupt. He has said that it was very unfortunate that the Punjab masses are voting for those who have been looting Punjab from long time.

Speaking to Sikh24, Bhoian said that now the anti-Sikh and anti-Punjab powers will cross all limits in commencing a new spell of injustices with the Sikh community and Punjab without any hesitation. “The Punjab masses, majority of which are Sikhs, have preferred their minute vested interests rather than the larger interests of their motherland,” he added.

It is pertinent to note here that Karam Singh Bhoian has been sitting on strike since April 1 seeking action against the demolishers of historic Darshani Deodi of Gurdwara Sri Tarn Taran Sahib. His peaceful struggle is likely to receive a robust mass response in the coming days as a majority of Sikh activists were busy in campaigning for Panthik candidates till date.

SAD (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann is likely to pay a visit at Gurdwara Sri Tarn Taran Sahib on May 28 to extend support to the peaceful struggle of Karam Singh Bhoian.
