SGPC Celebrates Mata Sunder Kaur Ji’s Birthday at Sri Harmandir Sahib

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—On May 5, a religious program was organized by the apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall to celebrate the birthday of Mata Sunder Kaur Ji. Following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, the Hazoori Raagi Jathas delighted the Sikh sangat with melodious Kirtan and Bhai Sultan Singh performed Ardas on this occasion.

Kathavachak Bhai Harmittar Singh shed light on the life history of Mata Sunder Kaur Ji and apprised the Sikh sangat about the contribution made by her for the high morale of Sikhism.

While appealing to the Sikh masses to take inspiration from Mata Sunder Kaur Ji’s life, he inspired the Sikh masses to receive blessings of Guru Sahib by getting baptized. He also extended congratulations of this sacred day to the Sikh masses.
