CHANDIGARH, Punjab—On the eve of 3rd martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh Niamiwala and Shaheed Bhai Gurjit Singh Nikke Sarawan, a Dastaar-Dumala tying competition was organized under the supervision of turban coach Gursewak Singh Bhana in the grain market of Bargari on October 14.
International Turban coaches Bhai Sandeep Singh Chamkaur Sahib, S. Simranjot Singh Bathinda, S. Balwant Singh Sangrur, S. Baj Singh Khalsa, S. Baljinder Singh Fazilka, S. Sonu Singh Khalsa acted as judge in this competition.
Bibi Manpreet Kaur secured first position in Dumala tying and Sikh history quiz competition held among girls. She was rewarded with a “Hero Duet” scooter. Similarly, Bhai Gursharan Singh secured first position in turban tying competition among boys and he was rewarded with a laptop. Other runner ups of junior and senior groups were rewarded with cash rewards of Rupees 11,000/-, 7100/- and 5100/-. Special encouraging rewards were also distributed among other participant boys and girls.
Various Panthik leaders also participated and addressed the gathering in this competition.
