Chandigarh, Punjab—Three Sirsa cult disciples namely Mohinder Pal Bittu, Sukhjinder “Singh” alias Sunny and Shakti “Singh” have been indicted in another FIR No. 89 registered on the complaint of ASI Pritam Singh under section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code in Kotkapura police station on June 13 this year. The FIR pertains to the sacrilege of Sikh scripture “Bhai Bala Ji Wali Janam Sakhi” which was recovered in an extremely disgraceful condition by the Police from the house of Shakti “Singh”.

Trio culprits were today presented before the Court of Faridkot’s Magistrate Ekta Uppal amid tight security. After going through the case file, the Court sent trio of them to Police remand till October 4.

It may be recalled here that the Police team probing sacrilege cases had conducted raid on the house of Shakti “Singh” s/o Basant “Singh” on June 11 and the Sikh scripture “Bhai Bala Ji Wali Janam Sakhi” was recovered by digging the floor of bathroom in his house. He had buried it beneath the floor of his bathroom.

In June this year, the Punjab police’s Special Investigation Team had held more than 10 Sirsa disciples while investigating the sacrilege cases occurred in 2015. During the investigation, it had come to fore that the Sirsa cult’s state committee member Mohinder Pal Bittu had orchestrated the plan to steal the holy corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji from Burj Jawahar Singh Wala and then hurt the Sikh sentiments by scattering sacred ‘Angs’ in Bargari.
