Manjit Singh GK Indicted for Publicizing Jagdish Tytler’s Confessional Videos

NEW DELHI—The DSGMC president S. Manjit Singh GK was reportedly indicted a couple of days ago for making public the confessional videos of Jagdish Tytler. Notably, GK had released five confessional video clips of Jagdish Tytler by holding a press conference at New Delhi on February 5 this year in which Tytler could be observed admitting his crime of massacring Sikhs during the 1984 Sikh genocide.

Sources have informed that a case of defamation has been registered in the Kapsahera police station of India’s national capital on the complaint of Jagdish Tytler. Although Jagdish Tytler had filed the complaint at Kapashera police station in February this year, but now GK has been indicted on the directions of the Court.

It may be recalled here that Jagdish Tytler had accused Manjit Singh GK of tarnishing his image and reputation in society in the Police complaint. “In the press conference, the accused (Manjit Singh and others) played the video clip and falsely stated that I have confessed to having killed hundreds of Sikhs in the 1954 riots in Delhi,” the Congress leader had said in his police complaint.

Reacting to his indictment under defamation charges, S. Manjit Singh GK has said that it is the first time that a criminal is using state machinery to scare the justice seeking Sikhs. He added that Tytler should keep one thing in his mind that the Shiromani Akali Dal would keep on fighting for bringing him to justice till last breath.

S. Manjit Singh GK also raised questions over no indictment of Jagdish Tytler even after six months of becoming his confessional videos public.
