Bargari Sacrilege: CBI Interrogates Sirsa Cult Disciples in Faridkot Jail

FARIDKOT, Punjab—After interrogatin three Sirsa cult disciples namely Mohinder Pal Bittu, Shakti “Singh” and Sukhjinder Sunny for 8 days in Delhi, the CBI team on July 19 interrogated other seven arrested Sirsa cult disciples for several hours in the Faridkot jail.

Sources have informed that the CBI team preferred to interrogate the other seven Sirsa cult disciples in jail as the investigating team was satisfied about the confessions made by Mohinder Pal Bittu, Shakti “Singh” and Sukhjinder “Singh” Sunny during the remand. After cross checking the confessions, the CBI team considered it better to briefly interrogate the other seven in Faridkot.

As the CBI team is satisfied with its interrogations, it is being speculated that the investigative bureau will not seek remand of these arrested Sirsa cult disciples.

It may be recalled here that the Punjab police’s Special Investigation Team had held 10 Sirsa cult disciples while investigating the sacrilege cases occurred in 2015. During investigation, it had come to fore that the Sirsa cult’s state committee member Mohinder Pal Bittu had orchestrated the plan to steal the holy corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji from Burj Jawahar Singh Wala and then hurt the Sikh sentiments by scattering sacred ‘Angs’ in Bargari.
