CHANDIGARH—A video of Akali parliamentarian S. Prem Singh Chandumajra giving a speech in the Indian parliament against the Bargari agitation has gone viral over social media in which he could be seen accusing the Congress led Punjab government of supporting the Bargari agitation by installing tents and bathrooms there.
S. Prem Singh Chandumajra is drawing mockery among Sikh circles due to the funny accent of speaking Hindi during his speech and furthermore making baseless accusations on Punjab government of disturbing law & order in Punjab by installing tents and bathrooms in Bargari.
It is noteworthy here that the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand is sitting on strike at Bargari since June 1, 2018 seeking solution of Sikh issues. Under pressure of this agitation, the Punjab government had directed the Punjab police to unearth the conspirators of Bargari sacrilege and now all of them are behind bars.
Furthermore, the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has also written letters to the Chief Ministers of Karnataka and Rajasthan seeking premature release of Bhai Gurdeep Singh Khera and the transfer of Bhai Harnek Singh Bhapp to Punjab respectively.
