CHANDIGARH—Under pressure of the Bargari agitation begun by Sarbat Khalsa appointed acting Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has written a letter to the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sri Vasundra Raje seeking transfer of political Sikh prisoner Bhai Harnek Singh Bhapp to Punjab. Notably, Bhai Harnek Singh is serving life imprisonment in Jaipur jail in a case of kidnapping Rajendra Mirdha who was the son of senior Congress leader Ramniwas Mirdha.
It is pertinent to note here that the Rajasthan’s police chief had sent his recommendation to the Home Ministry for the transfer of Bhai Harnek Singh Bhapp to Punjab.
In the letter, Captain Amarinder Singh has asked the Rajasthan government to speed up the process for transferring Bhai Harnek Singh Bhapp to Punjab.
