AMRITSAR SAHIB—The 273rd martyrdom anniversary of the great Sikh martyr Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh Ji was today observed by the SGPC at Gurdwara Manji Sahib Diwan Hall with full devotion. Following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, the Hazoori Raagi Jatha of Bhai Jabartod Singh delighted the devotees with melodious Kirtan and Bhai Rajdeep Singh performed ‘Ardas’ on this occasion.
Following the ‘Ardas’, Bhai Harmittar Singh read the sacred ‘Hukamnama’ (order of the Almighty Lord) on this occasion.
SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh said on this occasion that the great martyrs like Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh are sources of inspiration for us. He added that the parents need to apprise their children about the great life of Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh so that the next generations could get encouraged towards Sikhism.
Following this, the Dhadi and Kavishar Jathas addressed the life tales of Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh in an energetic manner to the devotees.
