CHANDIGARH—The Cabinet Minister of Punjab Sri Om Parkash Soni underwent meeting with the members of Oversight Committee appointed by the Punjab government for rewriting history syllabus of grade XI and XII. Oversight committee members Dr. Kirpal Singh, Dr. J.S Grewal, Dr. Prithipal Singh Kapoor, Dr. Indu Banga, Dr. Balwant Singh Dhillon and Dr. Inderjit Singh Gogoani deliberated upon facilitating new books to the grade XI and grade XII syllabus so that they can pursue their studies without any hindrance.
Organizing Secretary of the Punjab School Education Board Mr. Krishan Kumar, Chairman Manohar Kant Kalohia, Vice Chairman Prashant Goel and other officials were also present in this meeting.
Interacting with media, Sri OP Soni informed that the committee members have decided to make available the new books of history chapter wise. He added that these chapter wise booklets will be uploaded on PSEB’s website as soon as they become ready to be published. “Entire syllabus of history for grade XI and XII will be made available in the form of multiple booklets to the students by December, 2018” he said.
