BHOGPUR—Ardas Samagam for the spiritual peace of Khalistan Liberation Force’s chief Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu was today held at Gurdwara Baddoana Sahib of village Dalli (Bhogpur). Following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib laid on April 25, Sri Darbar Sahib’s Hazoori Raagi Jatha of Bhai Amandeep Singh sung the Gurbani verses in sorrowful manner. Raagi Jatha of Bibi Amandeep Kaur from Majitha also recited Gurbani Kirtan on this occasion.
Following the Kirtan recitation, Sikh activist Bhai Papalpreet Singh opened the stage for political leaders to pay tribute to the departed soul of Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu. He served the responsibility of stage secretary in an efficient manner during the entire program.
Senior SAD (Amritsar) leader Jathedar Narinder Singh Khusropur, Dal Khalsa president Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema, UAD president Bhai Mohkam Singh, SYFB’s president Bhai Balwant Singh Gopala, Jatha Sirlath Khalsa’s chief Bhai Paramjit Singh Akali, former Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Jasbir Singh Rode, SAD (Amritsar) youth wing leader Bhai Sandeep Singh Tanda, SYP’s General Secretary Bhai Gurnam Singh, Sikh activist Bhai Mandhir Singh, one of the sacked Punj Piaras Bhai Mangal Singh, Bhai Sahib Singh of Damdami Taksal, Bhai Sukhjit Singh Khose, Bhai Gurjit Singh Mandi Gobindgarh etc. addressed the gathering on this occasion.
Sikh activist Bhai Bagicha Singh Rattakherha read the written message sent by Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara in which he has directed the Sikh community to recognize the cause for which Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu sacrificed his life.
While paying tribute to the departed soul of Bhai Mintu, Jathedar Hawara has directed the Sikh community to constitute a panel of lawyers which should follow the legal proceedings of Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu’s murder orchestrated by the Indian state. He has also directed the worldwide Sikhs working in various Human rights bodies to ensure permanent release of political Sikh prisoners by commencing struggle on every front.
Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu’s mother Gurdev Kaur, younger brother Bhai Satinder Singh and elder brother were honoured with Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Award amid echoes of ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ slogan by the SAD (Amritsar) leadership on behalf of the entire Sikh community. They were also separately honoured by one of the Damdami Taksal’s sect chief Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala along with Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal and the Management Committee of Gurdwara Baddoana Sahib (Dalli).
Former Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh, Adampur’s MLA Pawan Kumar Teenu, UAD’ General Secretary Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda, Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu, Bhai Jang Singh, Bhai Navdeep Singh, Bhai Satwant Singh (son of Shaheed Bhai Kehar Singh), Bhai Paramjit Singh Gazi, Jathedar Swaranjit Singh (Misal Shaheedan, Tarna Dal), Baba Charanjit Singh Jassowal, Bhai Bhavandeep Singh of International Panthik Dal, Baba Bakhshish Singh, Bibi Sohanjit Kaur, Bhai Jassa Singh Manki etc. were also present on this occasion.
