Kaar Sewa begins to clean sacred pond of Gurdwara Beerh Baba Budha Sahib

JHABAL, Punjab—Kaar Sewa to clean sacred pond of Gurdwara Beerh Baba Budha Sahib (near Jhabal, District Tarn Taran) was begun on March 31 with culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib. Thousands of Sikh devotees from all over the Punjab were witnessed performing the volunteer service at the beginning of this Kaar Sewa with the support of Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale.

Addressing the Sikh sangat on this occasion, the SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh said that the volunteer service for the sacred Sikh shrines is an important aspect of the Sikh religion. He asked the Sikh masses to enthusiastically participate in this service and adopt Sikh values.

Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale thanked the Sikh masses for taking part in this Kaar Sewa.

Giani Gurbachan Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh, Sri Harmandir Sahib’s head granthi Giani Jagtar Singh, Gurdwara Bangal Sahib’s head granthi Giani Ranjit Singh and SGPC president S. Gobind Singh Longowal formally begun the Kaar Sewa by digging the pond with shovel.
