AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Although the SGPC has annulled its approval to the movie Nanak Shah Fakir, Sikh sangat is still furious over earlier “clean chit” despite various issues with the movie. Earlier today, Vice President of Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala Bhai Ranjit Singh said that the SGPC has sledgehammered the Sikh ethos which intolerable for the Sikh community. Terming the movie Nanak Shah Fakir as an attempt to exploit Sikh sentiments, Bhai Ranjit Singh has said that the Sikh community won’t accept this movie at any cost.
Speaking with Sikh24, Bhai Ranjit Singh said that no human being on this earth deserves capability to play role of the great Sikh masters. Making an appeal to the Sikh community to get active for stopping the movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ from hitting screens, he added that if pageantry entered in Sikh community now then the upcoming generations won’t be able do anything in future.
Bhai Ranjit Singh Damdami Taksal has said that the movie is being released under a highly deliberated policy so that the great Sikh masters could be mocked in future in similar way like the Hindu deities are mocked during Ramleela.
“SYFB openly boycotts the movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ and will do anything to stop it from hitting screens” he added.
That’s a ridiculous decision.
There are two codes of justice one for the majority and one minority Guess to which community Mr Jaggi belongs and decide for yourself.
Mr Jaggi is my country man, My question remains WHY hasn’t Sikh Federation and SGPC applied more pressure on the Indain Government on freeing Jaggi and other Sikh prisoners – whom have served their time by calling out the masses. Yet Sikh Federation will try to call masses on banning ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’

I Disagree with Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala Bhai Ranjit Singh- More films should be made, it’s now up to us as Sikh’s to educate the world as western world who mistake us for Muslims and don’t understanding what our GURU’S have sacrificed for humanity and also some groups call us terrorists.
Sikhs are not stupid Mr Bhindranwala Bhai Ranjit Singh, we know the actors playing parts in films are just Humans.
