Replica of Sri Harmandir Sahib won’t be accepted at any cost, says SGPC President Longowal

ANANDPUR SAHIB, Punjab—Interacting with media on March 1 at Sri Anandpur Sahib, the SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal said that the replica of sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib won’t accepted at any cost anywhere in the world. He added that the sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib is a central Sikh shrine and nobody would be allowed to play with sentiments of Sikh community.

Gobind Singh Longowal further said that a committee appointed by SGPC was probing the case of replica of Sri Harmandir Sahib built at Mastuana. He added that the SGPC will force the Mastuana authorities to make necessary changes on the recommendations of committee.

On being questioned about the adoption of Christianity by 40 Sikligar Sikh families in New Delhi, Longowal said that he is going to send a team to New Delhi to look into the conversions. He assured that the SGPC was committed to help Sikligar Sikhs in every possible way.

Former Cabinet Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Manjit Singh Basowal, Chairman of Milkfed Mohan Singh Dumewal, Tikka Jasvir Chand Bhalan and others were also present on this occasion along with other leaders.
