KHADOOR SAHIB, Punjab—Baba Balwinder Singh, veteran activist of Kaar Sewa Khadoor Sahib, today passed away following a brief illness. He has not been physically sound from some time and was on medication.
Baba Balwinder Singh had started serving in the Kaar Sewa seminary of Khadoor Sahib under patronage of Baba Uttam Singh Ji at the age of 12 years and spent his whole life while serving for the high spirit of the Sikh religion.
His dead body was consigned to funeral pyre in the afternoon amid presence of thousands of Sikhs and eminent political personalities. SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh performed ‘Ardas’ for cremating his mortal remains at Khadoor Sahib.

Gurbachan Singh Karmuwal, Former Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti, Damdami Taksal Chief Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma, Baba Gajjan Singh Baba Bakala, Baba Avtar Singh JI Sur Singh Wale, Baba Nand Singh Ji Mundapind Wale, Baba Sukha Singh Deenpur, Baba Mukhtar Singh Sarhali Wale, Baba Karam Singh Ji Daburji Wale, Baba Prabhjit Singh Ji Beerh Sahib Wale, Baba Puran Singh Nirmal Ashram, Baba Bikkar Singh, Baba Sukhwant Singh Ji, Baba Darshan Singh Tahla Sahib Wale, SGPC member Amarjit Singh Bhalaipur, MLA Ramanjit Singh Sikki, Former MLA Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, AAP leader Bhupinder Singh Bittu, Tehsildar Seema Singh, Akali leader Iqbal Singh Sandhu etc. were prominent among the present cremation attendees.
