AMRITSAR SAHIB—Sukhbir Badal ousted Sucha Langaah from the Shiromani Akali Dal, as his sex video goes viral on social media.
In the video, former Akali Minister Sucha Langaah is seen bedding a woman and violating the Sikh code of conduct by removing his turban in an objectionable way. Similarly, he could also be seen removing his ‘Kakaars’ (articles of Sikh faith that has to be kept along with whole time), namely, his Kipran and Kachhehra.
Meanwhile, SGPC officials and SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh have been observed as being tight-lipped on this issue. When media attempted to contact them both on October 1, both refused to attend the calls and their assistants kept the media waiting for statements.
Sikh24 has learnt that the video of Sucha Singh Langaah has put the SGPC in chaos. SGPC officials are finding it difficult to dismiss Langaah, evn though being an SGPC member, it is the moral duty to live his life as per Sikh tenets, but by bedding a woman, other than his wife, he has violated the Sikh code of conduct for which he cannot be forgiven.
On October 1, activists of Sikh bodies named Khalsa Panchayat and Akal Council staged a protested by blocking the Gurdaspur – Kalanaur Defense Road. The protesters demanded that Takht Jathedars excommunicate Sucha Langaah from the Sikh community and direct the Sikh community to socially boycott him due to his his immoral act.
