AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has once again asked the Union Government of India to return the scriptures of the Sikh Reference Library taken during 1984. During the Indian Army Invasion in 1984, the Sikh Reference Library was burnt and ransacked before its contents were removed by the army personnel before being taken to an undisclosed location.
Speaking with Sikh24 on July 24, SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar said that the ransacking of Sikh scripture and other historical manuscripts by the Indian army during June 1984 holocaust was not a hidden fact at all. “The Congress led Union government of India had confessed that the looted scriptures were in custody of intelligence agencies but now the BJP led Indian government is denying the fact,” he said.
“We have asked the Union Government to provide a response in this regard ASAP. Many of these scriptures date back to the time of our Gurus,” he added.
Ancient Sikh scriptures were looted by the Indian army during armed invasion into sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib. Eyewitnesses had exposed the looting of Holy Sikh Scriptures by the Indian army during the attack.
The SGPC has been making efforts to get back the looted Sikh scriptures from the government but none of their efforts have borne fruit till date. Recently in a visit to Sri Harmandir Sahib, a senior Indian army officer had also denied possession of any kind of Sikh scriptures.
SGPC needs to make its GOAL of
1) Opening SGPC offices in all the Countries
2) Open all Types of Schools ,Colleges and Universities in all the districts of Nation and in every Nation of the World
3) Hold Punjab Olympics every 5 year including F1 and Air Shows.
4) Start working on a PUNJAB SPACE STATION at a suitable place in the world
5) Open Sarais and Multi Storey staying Rooms in every Town of the Nation.
6) Set Up Libraries in every Nations
7) Set up Super Specialties Hospital in every district of the Nation.
8) Have an Expert in every field of Human activities from Science ,Arts ,laws on its Board .
9) Have an Representative of every Nation on its Board.
Kuldip Singh swore to defend the constitution of India.
He live by that oath.
He can’t be branded as Traitor.
By that definition all Sikhs serving in security forces would become a TRAITOR.
Ask the traitor general Kuldip Singh Brar what;s he’s done with the scriptures of the Sikh Reference Library taken during 1984, as he was in command and is personally responsible .
