:dateline:Following the passing away of Bhai Joga Singh Khalistani on October 6, his funeral will finally take place tomorrow, October 14, 2016.� Family members and Sikh activists had refused to perform Bhai Joga Singh�s final rites until his killers were put behind the bars, however, now as the local officials have agreed to most demands, the funeral will be performed tomorrow at 3:00 PM in Chuharpur, Ludhiana.
Bhai Sukhjit Singh Khose and other Sikh leaders have requested Sikh Sangat to arrive in large numbers to pay their final respects to Bhai Joga Singh.� �The funeral will take place as per Khalsa traditions.� We appeal all Sikh Jathebandis to arrive in large numbers so we can pay our respects to Bhai Joga Singh.� He was always steadfast in standing against any anti-Sikh activities.� It is our responsibility to do the same for our brother,� Bhai Khose said.
Family members and Sikh activists were demanding the police to arrest those responsible for the murder of Bhai Joga Singh.� While two of the co-accused have been arrested, main accused Sandeep Singh has been on the run.� Police officials told family members that Sandeep Singh will be nabbed soon and arrested under non-bailable warrant.
Officials also told family members that a Special Investigative Team will be organized which will look after the hearings in this case.� Police Commissioner Jatinder Singh Aulakh has approved formation of SIT in this case.� As per Commissioner Aulakh, Sandeep Singh has been declared �at-large� by the Punjab Police.
Bibi Ramandeep kaur, Bhai Joga Singh�s sister told Sikh24 that funeral will take place as authorities are promising to fulfill most of the�demands.� �Bhai Sukhjit Singh Khose has given them a 15 day ultimatum to arrest Sandeep Singh.� If the authorities do not take action within 15 days, we will declare next course of action,� Bhenji said.
