AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Sarbat Khalsa 2015 appointed Jathedars, Bhai Dhian Singh Mand (interim), Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala and Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal, held a meeting at Sri Akal Takht Sahib on September 30. The Jathedars issued an order to all Gurdwara committees to arrange Sevadars for 24 hours security to put control over the rising desecration incidents.
The Jathedars criticized Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal for not presenting the investigation report of the killing of two innocent Sikh youths by the Punjab police at Behbal Klan. They appealed the worldwide Sikh masses to send their suggestions about the punishment to be given to Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal. Sikh masses can send their suggestions via Email or simple mail by October 26.
“We gave Sukhbir the opportunity to present the report twice, however, he completely ignored the orders issued by Sarbat Khalsa Jathedars,” Bhai Dhian Singh Mand stated. During the Sarbat Khalsa 2015 gathering, the organizers had taken back the title of “Faqar-e-Quam” from Parkash Badal. This title was bestowed to Parkash Badal by the SGPC.
The meeting was attended by all three Sarbat Khalsa jathedars, along with Bhai Major Singh and Bhai Suba Singh. Interim Jathedar Bhai Mand said that Sukhbir Badal was earlier asked to present the investigation report by September 30. He added that Sukhbir Badal was asked to present the report twice but he didn’t appear before them. “Action against Sukhbir Badal will be taken as per Sikh tenets,” said Jathedar Dhian Singh Mand.
