Every single interrogation by Punjab police should be video recorded with sound and a copy of each interview then provided to the accused’s legal counsel immediately along with written transcript of the audio – that is how civilised democratic countries in 21st century do it to prevent police abuses of power. And if anybody suggest that is beyond resources of police when India is spending crores on useless space programmes then my answer is very simple – smart phones can record audio and video.
