Jathedar Dhian Singh Mand released from Ferozepur Jail

2016-05-10_bhai_mandFEROZEPUR, Punjab—Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Bhai Dhian Singh Mand was released from Ferozepur Jail on June 7.  Bhai Dhian Singh Mand was detained by the Punjab police to stop him from addressing the gathering on June 6 at Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

Firstly he was kept under house arrest on June 3 but later he was sent to Ferozepur jail after producing him before Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Ferozepur.

“I hold the Punjab Government responsible for trying to disrupt the peace in Punjab. They are rather trying to do it at a very fast pace. Sikh Sangat remembers its martyrs from 1984 Ghallughara very peacefully every year. Knowingly, the Government is trying is disrupt the peace and the Punjab Government is fully responsible for this,” Bhai Mand said after his release.

“The Government is coming to the end of its term. It has only a few months left. The people of Punjab are not asleep,” he added.

“Sukhbir Badal, I want you to note this down, we are not afraid of your cases. When the regime changes in Punjab, you will not be spared by the people of Punjab.”

In another update, 45 activists of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) from Samana have been reportedly released from Central jail of Patiala.
