  1. Spend the money on building a monument to the Sikh victims of Delhi 1984 and providing education and welfare for their families not some statue which is nothing more than a brazen sop / bribe to the Sikh masses to try and convince them of the Badals so-called ‘Sikh’ credentials. Banda Singh Bahadur like Scotland’s William Wallace was put to the death for refusing to give up his Sikh identity and fighting for Sikh rights – don’t think our Braveheart would appreciate a statue being put up by a man who believes in neither Sikh identity (refused to address the issue of discrimination against Sikhs in France when the French President came a begging in Chandigarh) nor Sikh rights (allows Punjab’s Police Officers to go unpunished after shooting dead of Sikhs protesting sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib).
