Lisbon Court to Hear Bhai Pamma’s Extradition Case Today

Paramjeet Singh extradition caseLISBON, Portugal—The Lisbon Court in Portugal will today conduct a hearing on the extradition case of Bhai Paramjit Singh Pamma, who was arrested from Portugal on December 18 by Interpol. A team of senior officials of the Punjab police have also reached Portugal to submit extradition papers for Bhai Pamma to Court.

Punjab police is demanding the extradition of Bhai Paramjit Singh Pamma from Portugese government by alleging his responsibility for the murder of RSS’s Punjab Chief Rulda Singh and, for the bomb blasts of Ambala & Patiala.

Advocates active on Sikh issues are claiming that the accusations against Bhai Pamma are weak as all others accused in this case have been acquitted by courts in India. Also that since the Police succeeded in arresting Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara, who is the main accused of Rulda singh murder case, there will be no hindrance in getting Bhai Pamma extradited to India as the trial against Bhai Tara is still ongoing currently.

Sources have revealed that the Punjab police, via the Indian government, have convinced the Portugal government that Bhai Pamma will not be given capital punishment or imprisonment of more than 25 years if found guilty by courts in India.
