Jagmeet Singh said that the officers of the Indian consulate pressurized him to stop exposing anti-humanity acts of the Indian government if he wanted a visa. He stated that he will not stop speaking truth just to be able to visit India.

Jagmeet Singh further advised Sikh students to learn Gurmukhi and said that nobody can detach them from Sri Guru Granth Sahib if they would learn Gurmukhi properly. He told the students that he never compromised with the tenets of Sikhi to earn political mileage. He appealed to students to live their lives according to the tenets of Sikhism and the success would be running behind them.
