CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Following the registration of cases against six employees of Central Jail of Patiala, Senior Journalist Kanwar Sandhu has demanded probe into the leakage of CCTV footage from Patiala jail and it’s broadcasting on PTC channel. He has said that after the biased approach of investigating authorities, it has become clear that he was targeted under a high level conspiracy.
In a video uploaded on his Youtube channel, Kanwar Sandhu has said that before taking any action the Government should consider the overall goal of his visit to Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana in jail. He added that he went there on the call of Bibi Kamaldeep Kaur Rajoana to record Bhai Rajoana’s version on allegations raised against him by Gurmeet Pinky. He wondered about the role played by the family of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana in accomplishing the supposed conspiracy against him that seems to have been planned at higher levels.
Commenting on cases registered against six jail employees including Assistant Superintendent Jagmail Singh, Kanwar Sandhu said that if the government registered cases against them to intensify the security of jails then the step is appreciable, however if the government did so to target him or someone else then it is highly condemnable act.
