Hearing Challenging Existence of HSGPC Deferred to January 12

NEW DELHI, India—The Supreme Court has deferred the hearing on a petition challenging the existence of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee (HSGPC) to January 12.

General Secretary of theHSGPC, Joga Singh, shared this information with Sikh24. He said that the petition has now been committed to Chief Justice Sri T.S Thakur who will soon deliver his decision on the petition.

The petition challenging the existence of HSGPC was moved by Punjab’s SGPC member Harbhajan Singh (Kurukshetra).

Due to the retirement of the former Chief Justice, the petition was been committed to the newly appointed Chief Justice Sri T.S Thakur on December 2.
