CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Cat turned police cop, Gurmeet Pinky, has lodged a complaint against former DGP Sumedh Saini, PSO Oma Shankar and Amandeep Kumar alias Skoda to Chandigarh police alleging that the trio had received a sum of Rs. 5 lakh (.5 million) from him for his reinstatement. Pinky has alleged that after cancellation of his reinstatement orders, Saini didn’t return his deposit.

Pinky has explained in the complaint that he was introduced to the Police officer Amandeep Kumar aka Skoda by a person named Nawab Singh. He added that upon being convinced by Amandeep Skoda, he paid a sum of Rs. 3 lakh (.3 million) to him on January 1, 2015.

He has further explained that when he didn’t get reinstated for three months he again talked to Skoda who gave him an affidavit as confirmation of receiving the money. Pinky said that after few days he also paid the rest sum of Rupees 2 lakh to them.

Sending copies of the complaint to the President, Prime Minister, Chief Secretary of Punjab and others, Pinky has sought immediate action against the former DGP Sumedh Saini and  Chairman of Police Housing Corporation to facilitate the return of his money.
