:dateline:As per information received from the Sikh Organization for Prisoner Welfare (SOPW), S. Gurcharan Singh (Bahadargarh) and Harpreet Singh Rana (brother-in-law of Jathedar Jagtar Singh) were picked up by Patiala police from their homes at the crack of dawn this morning.
Both relatives of Bhai Hawara were getting ready to attend his court date in New Delhi today.
SOPW shared that Bhai Hawara�was presented in court in connection with the Central Bureau of Investigation’s petition to reinstate the sentence to hang him until death. �Bhai Hawara’s death sentences was earlier changed to life-imprisonment until death.
Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara was appointed as the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib by Sarbat Khalsa 2015. �He is currently imprisoned in the Tihar Jail in New Delhi in the Beant “Singh” assassination case. �SOPW stated that the Punjab authorities once again abusing their position and misusing the police to do their dirty bidding. �A petition has been started by the Sikh diaspora asking USA President Barrack Obama to address the release of Bhai Hawara with India. �Petition can be signed at this link.
Hawara broke the law and got the Punishment from the States Law .
