AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Punjabi Research School of Guru Nanak Dev University organized a seminar on September 22 on Bhai Vir Singh’s contribution to Punjabi literature in its campus at Amritsar Sahib.
Prof. Jaswinder Singh of Punjabi University Patiala threw light on various aspects of Bhai Vir Singh’s personality and his life values. He illustrated the importance of Bhai Vir Singh’s historical creativity ‘Sundri’ in current time. Declaring Bhai Vir Singh’s nature elaboration incomparable, he also termed him as great poet of poetry.
Famous Socialist and Novelist Dr. Paramjit Singh (Dean, Academic Affairs) apprised the audience with unknown facts about Bhai Vir Singh’s fictitious characters. He presented valuable insights into Bhai Vir Singh creations, ‘Sundri’ and ‘Baba Nodh Singh’.
The novels above have inspired thousands in English and Punjabi as his books have been translated for wider sangat too.
