NEW DELHI—Senior AAP leader and noted lawyer HS Phoolka has alleged that the CBI was shielding the prime accused of the 1984 anti-Sikh genocide, Jagdish Tytler.

“Today, CBI informed the Court of Saurabh Pratap Singh Laler, ACMM, Karkardooma, that it has not registered any case against Jagdish Tytler regarding the offences of “Influencing Witnesses” under section 193 and 195 A IPC and the offence of “Money laundering”. In the Closure Report filed by the CBI, it is clearly admitted by the CBI that CBI has received evidence which implicate Jagdish Tytler regarding the above mentioned offences”.

On the last date Counsel for the Victim H.S. Phoolka Senior Advocate had argued that CBI should inform the Court about the action taken by it on the evidence received by the CBI disclosing the above two offences. Today the CBI informed the Court that it had not registered any case against Jagdish Tytler on any of these two offences. CBI continues to shield Jagdish Tytler though the Government has changed.

It is most shocking and surprising that BJP-Akali Government at Center have changed its stand since they came in Power.

Mr. Phoolka informed the media outside the Court that on behalf of the victim a Petition would be filed in the Court seeking the direction to register above two cases against Jagdish Tytler Regarding the main case of murder of three Sikhs at Gurdwara Pulbangash, Court has granted four weeks time to file Protest Petition.

The matter is now listed on 30th July 2015.
